FGCN Launch Symposium

Date:
19 Nov 2009
Location:
Netherlands Forensic Institute The Hague

Forensic genomics is a new area of genetic research with clear expectations for forensic applications. It focuses on the use of genomic data to reveal information that can finally be extracted from DNA of biological crime scene samples to help criminal justice professionals to identify victims and suspects. The Netherlands enjoys a top global position in this exciting new field of providing genomic use for societal benefit.

The Forensic Genomics Consortium Netherlands (FGCN) is organizing a launch symposium on 19 November 2009 at the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) in The Hague. The program will offer presentations by international speakers on different uses of genomics in various fields of forensic sciences. You will also witness a perspective outlook at future possibilities of solving crimes with the help of research obtained by FGCN. Finally, there will be a (optional) tour about the science and high-quality forensic services at the NFI.

The way crime is solved is about to change. This is your chance to be there when it does.
