On December 19th, the NBIC BioAssist programme and the Biomics group at the Erasmus MC are organising a seminar on Genome Browsers.
Next generation sequencing produces vast amounts of data. One possibility to represent this genomic information in a visual form - and thus to reveal its scientific meaning - is to use genome browsers such as ENSEMBL, UCSC, Generic Genome Browser.
The main subjects include, but not limited to, the latest development of genome browsers, genomic data visualization, software and data integration.
