- Date:

The school provides the excellent possibility for young investigators, site administrators and students interested in storage systems, software development for data analysis, parallel programming, modern IT techniques, cloud and grid computing and administration to learn about the latest progress and to gain the new practical experience in these areas. The format of the school implies the best way of knowledge exchange by the informal discussions in the small working groups during the hands-on sessions. The program is completed by two social events ('tarte flambee' evening at the German WLCG Tier-1 center GridKa and the school dinner in the city center).
A key aspect of this year's GridKa School will be computer security.
During 3-day security workshop the participants with help of simulated virtual environment will learn how to react on the security incidents and perform a forensic analysis after simulated security incidents. The experienced site administrators and IT experts interested in advanced security aspects are invited to take part in the workshop. The workshop is organized by EGI-CSIRT team.
The early bird registration is until July 15.
