First European Student Council Symposium (ESCS1)

Event description
We are presenting here the first European Student Council Symposium in association with ECCB 2010. It will be organized as a full parallel track during the first day of the conference, which is filled with parallel workshop and tutorial tracks.

The meeting is planned for Sunday September 26, 2010. The full day programme runs from 9 am to 5 pm. At 5:30 pm the first plenary lecture of the main ECCB10 conference starts. We expect an attendance of 40 to 75 students for ESCS1, with approx. 20 to 30 submitted abstracts.

Registration
You can register to the student symposium even if you do not attend ECCB. It only costs 100 euros, but will be 150 euros after the early registration deadline - Aug 20, 2010 (http://escs.iscbsc.org/registration)

Poster submission
The Student Symposium accepts late poster submissions till August 16, with notification on August 18. We actively encourage you to submit work you are presenting at ECCB to the Student Symposium as well. (http://escs.iscbsc.org/abstract-submission)

Organization
This event is organized in conjunction with the European Conference on Computational
Biology (ECCB).

Even though this project is filed by RSG‐Europe, the organization of this project is jointly done by all European RSGs. Initial planning for this event involved people from RSG­‐Netherlands, RSG-­France, RSG-­Germany and RSG-­Europe.
