Job description

In this function you will be part of the bioinformatics team and be involved in development of better analysis methodology of the results of next generation sequencing experiments in the fields of HIV, Hepatitis C, and Oncology. These experiments are done in support of the discovery and development of new drugs, and in the development of biomarkers for these drugs. Virco has a specific project that involves the optimization of an alignment algorithm.

Job requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics or a related field
  • Expertise in scientific programming and/or scripting, and algorithm development.
  • Outstanding communication and team work skills.
