Description

In this course, we will discuss the importance of network modeling for understanding life at the cellular and molecular level. First, network properties specific to biological networks will be discussed. Next, models and algorithms for reverse engineering and simulating biological networks will be introduced. Integrative bioinformatics algorithms are treated as means of constructing networks from various data sources.
Finally, a number of graph algorithms will be given that are particularly applicable to solving biological problems.
