SURFnet7, launchpad for the new way of working for researchers

On Wednesday December 7th, SURFnet is organizing a festive event "SURFnet7, launchpad for the new way of working for researchers" at Utrecht's Central Museum. This afternoon event is intended to show researchers and potential users the possibilities opened up by SURFnet7.
As part of the GigaPort3 innovation programme, the existing network infrastructure will be upgraded, with the aim of giving the research and higher education sector access to a flexible and scalable network that they can easily use – anytime and anywhere.
At the event, SURFnet and a number of other key players for the e-infrastructure will explain the possibilities of SURFnet7. They will celebrate the start of rollout of the SURFnet7 network. The prizes for the 'Enlighten Your Research' competition will also be presented.
The event starts with lunch at 12.30 p.m. and concludes at 5.30 p.m., followed by drinks.
