NBIC teacher training
14 Dec 2010
Together with the Freudenthal Institute, NBIC organized its first-ever training for high school teachers on November 26th. During the training, the teachers were challenged to use bioinformatics in their classes. In order to prepare appropriate lessons, they were supported by NAVIGENE, a scheme that helps in navigating through bioinformatics.
Next to the teachers, also a number of high school students participated in the training. The participants, teachers as well as students, were all very enthusiastic about the training! The organisers plan to host a follow-up meeting in due course.
Involved in this project are Hienke Sminia, Dirk Jan Boerwinkel and Lauke Ringens.
