Dr. Marc van Driel is bioinformatics coordinator within NBIC. He monitors the scientific progress within the NBIC programmes and stimulates the interaction between the bioinformatics groups involved. He is secretary of the NBIC BioRange programme committee and member of the NBIC BioAssist programme committee. He is leading the research support team. Furthermore, he supports the NBIC directors. He is a member of the BiG-Grid Executive team, where he guides the implementation of the application-layer of the life science grid.
