Project Leaders for the Task Forces
Each of the Task Forces in BioAssist has a scientific leader from one of the academic groups who is responsible for the academic output (PI), and a dedicated project leader (PL) from the Engineering Team responsible for the day to day collaboration in the task force.
In more detail, the PI and the PL distribute their responsibilities as follows:
- The PI decides on the goals for the collaboration, the PL organizes practicalities and meetings
- The PI prioritizes the targets, the PL keeps projects and people focused
- The PI gives guidance on scientific content, the PL gives guidance on technical methods
- The PI stays on top of latest bio/scientific developments, the PL stays on top of latest IT/technical developments
- The PI maintains contact with (potential) other users, the PL maintains contact with other task forces via their PL's
The dedication of a project leader to each task force is part of the strength of BioAssist. The day to day contact between the project leaders brings synergy that can only be obtained at the scale of a national collaboration.
