Reverse physiology of the cortical microcircuit

Abstract
This project focuses on the way in which a single neuron (nerve cell) involves cells in its direct environment in distributing collected information. The researchers will implement a numerical model of the cerebral cortex and will draw connections between experiment and model. This will contribute to a better understanding and an improved predictability of the brain activity in the cortex.
