The BRS group

The BRS group consists of three support engineers, which are stationed at bioinformatics groups throughout the Netherlands, and the projects are coordinated from NBIC by Dr. Marc van Driel.

Marc van Driel

Marc is bioinformatics coordinator at the NBIC, and involved in the BioRange research programme. Furthermore, he is member of the BiG Grid executive team and participates in the social scientific programme, and is head of the Bioinformatics Research Support group.

 

Tim te Beek

Tim is a computer scientist by training and works as a support engineer in the BRS group. He worked previously on the HOPE project.

Marcel Kempenaar

Marcel is a trained bioinformatician and now support engineer in the BRS group. Previously, he worked on the RGPU project using the power of the modern GPUs in combination with the statistical computing package R.
