HARMONY 2012: The Hackathon on Resources for Modeling in Biology

During this 5-day meeting (May 21 to May 25) around 70 researchers work on the development of different format standards (BioPAX, SBML, SBGN and SED-ML), interoperability and infrastructure. The start of the meeting will be a symposium open to interested scientists with tutorials and talks from three internationally recognized systems biologists, Gary Bader (University of Toronto, Canada), Nicolas Le Novere (EBI, UK) and Michael Hucka (California Institute of Technology, US). A reception and poster session will conclude the day allowing local researchers to exchange themselves with international systems biologists. The remaining part of the meeting is devoted to hands-on hacking and interaction between pople focused on practical development.
