About NBIC

The Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre (NBIC) is the Dutch network of bioinformatics experts active in research, education and support. Over 100 bioinformatics scientists, including 40 ‘NBIC faculty’ members, structurally collaborate in a networked, supra-institutional organisation. The strong Dutch research community establishes the best teachers’ base for a broad and lively NBIC bioinformatics training programme. In dedicated teams, a contingent of over 50 programmers and software engineers develops re-usable solutions and guides the professional implementation of novel software and databases. Where necessary, access to high end computing and e-science infrastructures is arranged through collaboration with partner organisations.
